Why I Do This Work

I know what it feels like to lead on empty — showing up for everyone else while quietly burning out, doubting your direction, and wondering when you lost the spark that once inspired you.

For years, I led teams and projects through change and pressure — in health, community, and leadership roles. Then life delivered its own lessons: career transitions, health challenges, and moments that tested my resilience and perspective.

Those experiences taught me that wellbeing isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation of great leadership and meaningful success.

That’s why I created Wellbeing by Design — to help leaders and organisations navigate complexity with calm confidence, and clarity, because when we lead from wellbeing, we don’t just perform better — we create lasting impact.

Meet Michelle Hasani

Hi, I’m Michelle Hasani — a Wellbeing Strategist, Mental Fitness Coach, and change-maker helping leaders and workplaces reimagine how we live, work, and lead.

With over two decades of experience across leadership, wellbeing, and community development — spanning  government, not-for-profit, and business sectors — I bring a blend of evidence-based strategy, empathy, and insight to every conversation. Recognised as the HCANZA Health & Wellness Coach of the Year (2024),

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across local, national, and international contexts — from grassroots initiatives to policy reform, leadership development, and complex systems change. I’ve partnered with government departments, nonprofits, and values-led businesses to embed wellbeing into leadership, culture, and strategy.

The Heart Behind Wellbeing by Design

My approach blends co-design, mental fitness, and systems thinking to create lasting impact. I’m grounded, compassionate, and results-focused — combining real-life experience with practical frameworks that help people and teams thrive.

My work is also deeply personal. After navigating burnout, breast cancer at 45, and early menopause, I learned firsthand that wellbeing isn’t a luxury — it’s the foundation for how we live, work, and lead.

That experience shaped my mission: to help others reclaim their agency, restore wellbeing, and lead with courage, confidence, and care through life’s transitions and challenges.
